Elon Musk's net worth has hit $749 billion—yep, that's more than the combined fortunes of India's top billionaires, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, who together have about $180 billion.
As of December 21, 2025 (Forbes), Musk is officially the world's richest person by a huge margin.

Where does all that money come from?

Most of Musk's wealth comes from his stakes in Tesla (12%) and SpaceX (42%), with SpaceX recently valued at $800 billion.
He also picked up Twitter in 2022 and merged it with his AI company xAI, making him a major player in tech and AI.
Meanwhile, Ambani leads big in telecom and energy, while Adani focuses on infrastructure.
