JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is optimistic about AI but says the payoff might not match the hype, or arrive as quickly as people hope.

He compared it to the early days of the internet, reminding everyone that big investments don't always lead to instant winners: "Will it pay off the way you expect and the timetable you expect? Definitely not."

Dimon cites tech turnover, investor risks

Dimon pointed out how tech leaders can change fast, just like Yahoo and Netscape faded while Google and Facebook took over.

He also flagged bigger risks for investors, like global conflicts and rising government spending, warning that these could shake up markets even if inflation stays in check.
