The combined market capitalization of four out of the top 10 most valued companies in India increased by ₹95,447.38 crore last week. The surge was led by Reliance Industries, which saw a massive jump in its market valuation. Other gainers included Bharti Airtel, State Bank of India (SBI), and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

Reliance Industries's market capitalization jumped by ₹47,431.32 crore to ₹20,11,602.06 crore. SBI's valuation also increased by ₹30,091.82 crore, taking its total to ₹8,64,908.87 crore. Bharti Airtel and LIC also witnessed an increase in their respective valuations by ₹14,540.37 crore and ₹3,383.87 crore respectively, over the week gone by.
Valuation dip
A look at the losers
While four companies saw a surge in their market valuations, six others witnessed a dip. Bajaj Finance's valuation fell by ₹29,090.12 crore to ₹6,48,756.24 crore. ICICI Bank's market capitalization also tanked by ₹21,618.9 crore to ₹9,61,127.86 crore over the same period last week. Infosys and Hindustan Unilever saw their valuations drop by ₹17,822.38 crore and ₹11,924.17 crore respectively.

Other major firms that saw a dip
HDFC Bank's market capitalization declined by ₹9,547.96 crore to ₹15,18,679.14 crore last week. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) also witnessed a dip in its valuation by ₹1,682.41 crore taking it down to ₹11,06,338.80 crore.
