Who were the biggest winners and losers?

The top performing sectors of the market were NIFTY IT, NIFTY PSE, and NIFTY REALTY, gaining 1.59%, 1.44%, and 1.31%, respectively. ONGC, Tech Mahindra, and Apollo Hospital emerged as the top-performing stocks, edging up 5.69%, 5.24%, and 3.39%, respectively. BPCL, Bajaj Finance, and M&M were trading among the top stock losers on Thursday, shedding 1.65%, 1.08%, and 0.96%, respectively.

The Indian Rupee (INR) edged up 0.02% to Rs. 82.5 versus the US Dollar in the forex trade. Not much movement was witnessed in the gold and silver futures prices as they were trading flat. While the gold price settled at Rs. 56,108, the price of silver ended at Rs. 65,398. The crude oil futures were trading flat to settle at $78.53 per barrel.

Fuel prices in Delhi and Mumbai remain the same

The fuel prices remain unaffected on Thursday. In Delhi, diesel is retailing at Rs. 89.66 per liter and petrol continues to sell at Rs. 96.76 per liter. In Mumbai, diesel costs Rs. 94.25 per liter and petrol is priced at Rs. 106.29 per liter.
