Started his career with a hyperloop school project
Awasthi started his career with a hyperloop school project, interned at Tesla, and joined the firm in 2018 after graduating. He became an engineering manager within two years and was promoted to senior technical program manager overseeing Cybertruck's 48V architecture a year later. By late 2022, when Tesla was gearing up for Cybertruck production, Awasthi had been promoted to head of the electric truck program.
