Vodafone Idea's AGR dues talks with government underway: Report

Business

Vodafone Idea is working with the government (which owns nearly half the company) to sort out its massive ₹78,500 crore AGR dues.
CEO Abhijit Kishore recently confirmed these talks after a Supreme Court order on reconciling old payments.
The goal? Find a fix that keeps the company running and customers connected.

4G coverage up from 77% to 84%

The company's not just focused on bills—it's also speeding up its 4G and 5G rollout to improve user experience.
4G coverage jumped from 77% to 84%, with plans to hit 90%, and their new 5G services now reach almost all revenue zones in 29 cities.
Since March, investments have boosted network capacity by 38% and speeds by about 17%.
To keep this going, Vodafone Idea is talking to banks for long-term funding.
While tariff hikes are likely down the road, nothing's set yet.
