Amitabh Bachchan buys 2.67-acre land in Ayodhya for ₹35cr
Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan just picked up a 2.67-acre piece of land in Ayodhya for ₹35 crore.
The deal, reported on March 6, puts him right next to HoABL's big The Sarayu project.
This is described as his third investment in Ayodhya and his fourth plotted development purchase with HoABL in the city.
His previous purchases in Ayodhya
Bachchan's new Ayodhya plot cost him a cool ₹35 crore, but it's not his first splash here.
He grabbed a 25,000 square feet plot for ₹40 crore last year, plus two more plots (10,000 square feet for ₹14.5 crore and 5,372 square feet for ₹4.54 crore) earlier on.
He even bought a larger area via his family trust.
Land prices in Ayodhya have shot up since Ram Mandir
Land prices in Ayodhya have shot up by over four times since 2020, thanks to the Ram Mandir construction and better infrastructure, with rates growing at about 19% a year.
Even Bachchan has invested outside Uttar Pradesh too: he owns a plot in HoABL's Sol de Alibaug in Alibaug, Maharashtra.
