What's the story

Aparshakti Khurana has revealed that he immediately agreed to be a part of Saurabh Shukla's directorial venture, Jab Khuli Kitaab. The actor was so impressed with the script during their first meeting that he didn't need any more persuasion. "Normally, it is a process of 5-10 days. But in the very first meeting with sir, I said, 'Count me in, I'm all yours,'" he told Mid-Day.

Director's dedication

Khurana lauded Shukla's dedication to the film

Khurana also lauded Shukla's commitment to the film, which reportedly took nearly 18 months to complete. The director even put his acting career on hold for this project. "Kudos to him for taking [almost] two years out of his life to write and direct, and the post-production [despite being a] busy actor," Khurana said. "It takes a lot to say no to those films and the money." The movie is produced by Applause Entertainment and Shoestrap Films.

Co-stars

Excitement about working with veteran actors

Khurana also expressed his excitement about working with veteran actors Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia in the ZEE5 film. He described them as legends and praised Shukla for creating an equal environment on set. "Once you reach the set, you are Advocate Negi and not Aparshakti. You only see Gopalji (Kapur) and Anusuya (Kapadia), not them," he shared. "It's amazing to walk hand in hand with so many people."
