The teaser, which was first shown with James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash in theaters, features a serene farm setting. It begins with Steve riding a motorcycle to his home as a piano version of the Avengers theme plays in the background. The scene then shifts to him holding a newborn baby, hinting at his new life away from the superhero world. The video ends with "Steve Rogers will return for Avengers: Doomsday" on screen.

Evans's last appearance as Rogers in 'Avengers: Endgame'

Evans last portrayed Rogers in Avengers: Endgame (2019). In the film, he embarks on a personal mission to return the missing Infinity Stones to their rightful places across time after defeating Thanos. He eventually passes his shield to Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), who becomes the new Captain America. Rogers then went back in time to spend his life with Peggy Carter.

'Avengers: Doomsday' to feature multiverse-crossing storyline

Avengers: Doomsday will also see the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. Other returning heroes include Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Tom Hiddleston, Letitia Wright, and Winston Duke. The film will also feature Simu Liu and Pedro Pascal. From the X-Men universe Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, and Rebecca Romijn will cross over into the MCU.
