What's the story

Raghav Juyal, who plays Parvaiz in The Ba***ds of Bollywood, recently revealed that his viral scene with Emraan Hashmi was an impromptu addition by director Aryan Khan. In the scene, Juyal's character breaks into a passionate rendition of Kaho Na Kaho from Murder, leaving Hashmi a little embarrassed. It was not part of the script but an on-set idea from Khan.

Scene creation

'There is now a separate fan base for that scene'

Speaking to NDTV, Juyal said, "There is now a separate fan base for just that scene." He revealed that the choice of Kaho Na Kaho was also spontaneous. "There was a debate between Bheege Honth Tere or Kaho Na Kaho, and we chose the latter because of its Arabic portions which allowed me to perform more." The actor added that he was nervous during his first take but it ended up looking genuine.

Character doubts

Initially, I was skeptical about playing Parvaiz: Juyal

Despite the success of his performance, Juyal was initially skeptical about playing Parvaiz. He felt that, unlike other characters with well-written backstories, his role was undefined. "Parvaiz was just there, fun but undefined," he explained. However, Khan reassured him and said they would create the character together on set. Their improvisational chemistry soon became a running joke on set with other actors joking about extended shoot times due to their spontaneous decisions.

Series overview

About 'The Bads of Bollywood'

Directed by Khan, The Ba***ds of Bollywood premiered on Netflix on September 18. The series features a star-studded cast including Lakshya, Juyal, Bobby Deol, and Mona Singh. It also features cameos from Shah Rukh Khan, SS Rajamouli, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan among others. Despite the ensemble cast and their performances, it was Juyal's unscripted Kaho Na Kaho moment that became the most memorable scene in the series.
