'Bharat': Salman-Priyanka indulge in a playful banter on Twitter

After it was officially announced that Priyanka Chopra will play the female lead in 'Bharat', Salman Khan took to Twitter to welcome her on-board. In his tweet, Salman jokingly reminded the 'Baywatch' star that 'Bharat' is a Hindi film. PeeCee then replied that she will always remain a 'Desi Girl'. Bharat is Priyanka's homecoming to Bollywood. Her last Hindi film was Jai Gangaajal (2016).

'Bharat' marks the third collaboration between Salman and director Ali Abbas Zafar after 'Sultan' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai'. Priyanka has also worked with Ali in 'Gunday'. Being produced by Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, 'Bharat' is an official remake of the South Korean film called 'Ode To My Father' and will be releasing on Eid next year.
