CBFC approves Kajol's MAA with UA 16+ rating

Kajol is back with MAA, a supernatural thriller that just got a UA 16+ rating from the CBFC.
The film hits theaters on June 27, 2025, and will stream on Netflix after eight weeks.
The story follows a mother and daughter who find themselves up against a haunted tree during a road trip—definitely not your usual family outing.

MAA brings together Kajol with Ronit Roy, Yaaneea Bharadwaj, Surjyasikha Das, and Indraneil Sengupta.
It's directed by Vishal Furia and co-produced by Ajay Devgn's Devgn Films and Jio Studios.
Written by Ajit Jagtap and Aamil Keeyan Khan, this film marks Kajol's return to theaters after Salaam Venky as she tries out new genres.
