Set against the backdrop of the Partition, Lahore 1947 tells the story of a Muslim family that migrates from Lucknow to Lahore. They are given a haveli left behind by a Hindu family that has also migrated. However, things take a dramatic turn when they realize that the Hindu family is still living in the house and refuses to leave. The movie also stars Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol in pivotal roles.
