What's the story

Ranveer Singh's upcoming film Dhurandhar might get delayed in overseas territories, per Bollywood Hungama. A trade source said, "This usually happens with South films, and it's rare to see what's happening with Dhurandhar." The delivery of content to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji is particularly affected as these countries are scheduled to screen Dhurandhar first due to their time zones. "The team is also trying its best to supply the content (to) the UK, Middle East, North America, etc."

Film details

'Dhurandhar' 1st half is over 2 hours long

Amid the delays, insiders have revealed "the first half of the film is more than 2 hours long, clocking a runtime of 2 hours and 4 minutes." "The second half is comparatively shorter, as it has a duration of 1 hour and 28 minutes." Meanwhile, in India, IMAX properties will screen the non-IMAX version of Dhurandhar on Friday due to these delays.

Record-breaking runtime

'Dhurandhar' becomes longest Hindi film in 17 years

Despite the delays, Dhurandhar is set to make history as the longest Hindi film in 17 years. The movie, directed by Aditya Dhar, has a total runtime of 214 minutes (3 hours and 34 minutes). This record-breaking length joins the ranks of other lengthy Bollywood films such as Jodhaa Akbar (2008), Mera Naam Joker (248 minutes), LOC: Kargil (255 minutes), and Lagaan (233 minutes).

Apart from Singh, Dhurandhar also stars Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun. The film is set to hit theaters on Friday, December 5.
