Diljit Dosanjh stands by overseas release of 'Sardaar Ji 3'

Diljit Dosanjh's new film Sardaar Ji 3 is skipping an India release and heading straight to overseas theaters.
The move comes after the trailer, featuring Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, dropped during a tense time between India and Pakistan.
Major Indian film bodies have criticized the collaboration and restated their ban on working with Pakistani artists.

Dosanjh shared that Sardaar Ji 3 was finished back in February, before the recent tensions began. But with the current ban on Pakistani artists in India, releasing it locally just isn't possible.
To avoid losses, producers Gunbir Singh Sidhu and Manmord Sidhu are focusing on an international release instead.
The film hits overseas screens on June 27.
