'Bheemla Nayak' to stream on this OTT platform post-theatrical release?
Even before its theatrical release on February 25, reports about Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati-led Bheemla Nayak's OTT premiere are all over the internet. According to reports, the digital streaming rights of the revenge drama have been bagged by Disney+ Hotstar. However, there is no word on when the platform will start streaming the film. Also, makers are yet to officially confirm this development.
- Bheemla Nayak is one of the most-awaited films for Telugu cinema fans.
- It is the Telugu remake of the 2020 Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon. The film received a positive response from fans and critics alike.
- And, based on the promos released so far, we are certain Bheemla Nayak will live up to the standards set by Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
While Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have been bagging OTT rights for most of the Indian films in the recent past, Telugu streaming platform aha has also been making headlines by grabbing a good number of films. However, after Nandamuri Balakrishna's Akhanda, Bheemla Nayak could be another biggie for Disney+ Hotstar, paving a way for the platform to bring in more Telugu cinema fans.
Meanwhile, Daggubati announced on Friday that the trailer for Bheemla Nayak would be dropped soon. Last year, we got to see a couple of video glimpses from the film. With power-packed punch lines and goosebump-inducing BGM, these promos were adrenaline-pumping. Directed by Sagar K Chandra, the drama has Nithya Menen and Samyuktha Menon as the leading ladies.
Bheemla Nayak has to face a tough fight at the box office as a couple more Telugu films—Varun Tej's Ghani and Sharwanand and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu—are also releasing on the same day. Besides, the Telugu (dubbed) versions of mega-budget films like Valimai featuring Ajith Kumar and Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt are releasing on February 24 and February 25, respectively.
