'No ifs and buts'—Shatrughan Sinha dismisses speculations around Govinda's accident
Bollywood actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was hospitalized on Tuesday after accidentally shooting himself in the leg. The incident reportedly happened while he was preparing his licensed revolver for a trip to Kolkata. His manager, Shashi Sinha, clarified that the gun slipped from his hand and discharged a bullet into his leg. Following this incident, several Bollywood celebrities visited him at the hospital, including veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, who addressed media speculations about the accident.
'He is stable, his condition is good...'
Sinha dismissed any conspiracy theories surrounding the accident, stating that there are no "ifs and buts" in accidents. "He is stable, his condition is good... It was an accident. There are no ifs and buts in accidents... He received treatment," Sinha said to the media after visiting Govinda at the hospital.
Govinda assured fans of his well-being post-accident
On Tuesday, Govinda shared a voice note to reassure his fans about his health. He expressed gratitude for their prayers and blessings, stating that the bullet has been successfully removed. "Namaskar, pranaam, main hoon Govinda... I was shot, but the bullet has been taken out. I thank the doctors here...and I appreciate all your prayers," he said in the message.
Govinda received support from Bollywood and political figures
Several Bollywood stars, including director David Dhawan and actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani, visited Govinda at the hospital. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also called him to check on his health and wished him a speedy recovery. He also told the hospital staff to make sure Govinda gets the best care during his recovery. The actor is expected to be discharged in the coming days.
