Hollywood actor Jamie Lee Curtis recently opened up about the tragic deaths of her close friends, director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner. Speaking on Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson's podcast, IMO, she revealed that the couple died on her daughter Annie Guest's birthday in December 2025. "Rob and Michelle are her godparents," Curtis revealed.

Speaking to Variety, she said she and husband Christopher Guest were "numb and sad and shocked about the violent, tragic deaths of [their] dear friends." "Our ONLY focus and care right now is for their children and immediate families and we will offer all support possible to help them. We have lost great friends. Please give us time to grieve."

The couple was murdered in their home last year
The couple was found dead in their Los Angeles home on December 14, 2025. The LA County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed they died from "multiple sharp force injuries" and ruled the deaths a homicide. Their middle child, Nick Reiner, was arrested the following day and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with their deaths. He is next scheduled to appear in front of a judge on April 29.
