Juhi Chaturvedi is an Indian screenwriter who predominantly works in the Bollywood film industry. She was born in 1975, in Uttar Pradesh and completed her education at Lucknow College of Arts and Mount Carmel College, Lucknow. Chaturvedi started her career as a freelance illustrator with The Times of India Lucknow edition. In 1996, she moved to Delhi and joined advertising as an art director with Ogilvy & Mather. Following this, she joined the agency’s Mumbai office in 1999. She joined McCann in 2008 as a creative director. After this, Chaturvedi worked with director Shoojit Sircar on ad films for various brands like Saffola and Titan. She was also the dialogue writer for Sircar’s second film ‘Shoebite’ which unfortunately got canceled. In 2013, she joined Leo Burnett Mumbai as an Executive Creative Director. Chaturvedi is popularly known for writing scripts for popular films like ‘Gulabo Sitabo,’ ‘Piku,’ ‘October,’ ‘Madras Cafe,’ and ‘Vicky Donor.’ She is also the recipient of the IRDS Film Award for working toward social awareness in ‘Vicky Donor.’
