'My known devils': Why Priyadarshan prefers working with Akshay, Rajpal
What's the story
Renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan recently revealed why he often casts actors Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Akshay Kumar in his films. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he described them as his "known devils" who can be trusted to deliver his vision without needing constant guidance or corrections. He said, "I don't have the patience to teach people again and again what I want."
Casting strategy
'These are my assets whom I can trust...'
Priyadarshan explained his casting strategy, saying, "There is a kahawat in Malayalam which says that when you have enough butter in your kitchen, please don't look for ghee." He added, "Similarly, I feel that these are my assets whom I can trust and give my scenes to." "There's a saying that known devils are better than unknown angels. So these are my known devils."
