Razzie Awards: 'War of the Worlds' named Worst Picture
What's the story
The 46th annual Golden Raspberry Awards, also known as the Razzie Awards, have been announced. The event "celebrates" the worst performances in cinema, and this year, Ice Cube's War of the Worlds dominated with five "wins" out of six nominations. Other notable "winners" included Rebel Wilson for Worst Actress in Bride Hard and all seven dwarfs from Disney's Snow White (2025) for Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo. Scarlet Rose Stallone (Gunslingers) was named the Worst Supporting Actress.

'War of the Worlds' beat out these films
War of the Worlds ruled several major categories, including Worst Picture, Worst Actor for Ice Cube, and Worst Screenplay. It was described as "a cult hate-watch classic almost immediately" by the Razzies. In the Worst Picture category, it defeated The Electric State, Hurry Up Tomorrow, Snow White, and Star Trek: Section 31. For Worst Actor, it beat out Dave Bautista (In the Lost...), Scott Eastwood (Alarum), Jared Leto (Tron: Ares), and Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye (Hurry Up...).

In the Worst Screen Combo category, the artificial dwarfs were up against James Corden & Rihanna (Smurfs ), Ice Cube & His Zoom Camera (War of the...), Robert De Niro & Robert De Niro (The Alto Knights), and The Weeknd & His Colossal Ego (Hurry Up Tomorrow). Rich Lee was awarded Worst Director for War of the..., and the Amazon Prime Video film also clinched the award for Worst Remake/Rip-off/Sequel. Kate Hudson received the Redeemer Award for Song Sung Blue.
