Release date
'Toxic' to release during festive season
Yash's Toxic will be released on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, and Eid weekend. In a previous poster shared by Yash in March, he was seen wearing a black leather jacket and hat while holding a gun. The background featured an image of an entire town engulfed in flames as he walked away from the scene unfazed.
Title inspiration
Yash revealed the inspiration behind 'Toxic's title
Interestingly, Yash himself suggested the title of the film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he explained his choice: "We have fairy tales for kids but nobody is making fairy tales for grown-ups. So we thought we will make a fairy tale for grown-ups." "I came up with the tagline. Title and tagline both I felt it was a very relevant thing."
Box-office clash
'Toxic' will clash with Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar 2'
Dhurandhar Part 1, which was released on December 5, is one of the biggest spy action thrillers India has ever attempted. Directed, written, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the lead role with Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and R Madhavan. At 214 minutes long, it is among the longest Indian films ever made. Its much anticipated sequel is also set to target a March 2026 release.
