CJP announces 'Kya Bolti Public' nationwide campaign from September
What's the story
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced a nationwide campaign called "Kya Bolti Public," starting in September. The announcement was made by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke after a two-day core committee meeting in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The campaign will see CJP representatives across India seeking people's views on various issues. "During the 'kya bolti public' campaign, we will get to know what people think of the present situation in the country and what the issues they face are," he said.
Youth engagement
Campaign to focus on youth
Dipke said the campaign would focus on young people, as they form a large part of India's population.
He emphasized that "60% of India's population is below the age of 35," and unemployed youngsters were part of recent protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over NEET paper leak issues.
The CJP also plans to take up unemployment as a national issue during this campaign.
Political position
CJP clarifies no plans to enter electoral politics
Dipke has also clarified that the CJP has no plans to enter electoral politics. Instead, it will focus on building a citizens' movement around transparency and accountability.
He said, "For now, CJP will be a pressure group because what India needs right now is a pressure group."
The organization aims to restore accountability in institutions like the judiciary and media.
"CJP will operate as per Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Nehru's vision for a developed India," Dipke said.
Protest support
Educational reforms part of campaign
Dipke also praised students who protested over NEET paper leak issues and said their efforts led to the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
He called Pradhan's resignation "the biggest achievement of the students' agitation."
The CJP will also work on educational reforms and make education affordable for all, as fees are touching new highs.
"Education has remained unaffordable since schooling. Education is used for making profits. But we want to change it," he said.
