Man sexually assaults differently-abled woman at home in Bengaluru

India

In Bengaluru's MR Nagar, a man named Vignesh was arrested on November 9 for allegedly breaking into the home of a differently-abled woman and trying to sexually assault her while her family was away at a wedding.
The woman, who cannot speak or walk properly, was found partially unclothed by her mother when she returned.

Man was high on marijuana

Vignesh, reportedly high on marijuana, tried to hide when the victim's mother came back.
She quickly raised an alarm, and neighbors caught him before handing him over to the police.
He's now in custody under Section 75 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (sexual harassment), with investigations ongoing.
This case—and others like it in Karnataka—highlight serious concerns about the safety of vulnerable individuals in our communities.
