Mother hires gang to kill son over property dispute

India

In Andhra Pradesh, police have arrested 50-year-old Shyamala for allegedly hiring a gang to murder her 22-year-old son, Jayaprakash Reddy.
The shocking reason? Ongoing fights over property and money.
Police say she paid ₹6 lakh to get the job done, claiming her son was causing her financial trouble.

Dog squad, forensics help in uncovering the case

Jayaprakash's body was found near a liquor shop on November 7, which set off the investigation.
The breakthrough came when a phone call from Mahesh's mobile to Shyamala became a key lead in the investigation—a farm worker familiar to the family—where she reportedly gave him ₹50,000 as an advance.
Mahesh then brought in others to help with the plan.
Thanks to forensic work and some solid detective work (including a dog squad), police uncovered the plot and arrested Shyamala, Mahesh, and six more people involved.
