Red Fort blast linked to Kashmir-based terror module: Investigation
A recent explosion near Delhi's Red Fort set several cars on fire and has now been traced back to clues found in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
After an FIR was filed on October 19, investigators connected the dots between the blast and posters discovered up north—leading to a significant investigation.
Key arrests and seizures made
The probe has led to several key arrests: Maulvi Irfan Ahmed Waghe and Zameer Ahmed were picked up in Jammu and Kashmir by late October, while Dr. Adeel was arrested in Saharanpur on November 5.
Authorities also seized an AK-56 rifle at Anantnag hospital, and, in total, approximately 3,000kg of explosives and bomb-making equipment were seized from the module across multiple locations.
Car used in blast connects back to explosives
Turns out, the car used in the Red Fort blast—driven by Dr. Umar—is directly linked to the explosives recovered during these raids.
Investigators are still figuring out whether this was a planned attack or just a tragic accident.
