Red Fort shut for 3 days after car blast nearby

Heads up if you were planning a visit—the Red Fort in Delhi is closed from November 11 to 13, 2025.
This comes right after a bomb-blast incident involving a car near Netaji Subash Marg on November 10.
Officials say the closure is just to keep everyone safe and give security teams time to check things out thoroughly.

Forensic work in progress

The police requested the shutdown, and the Archaeological Survey of India agreed.
Since the Red Fort usually draws big crowds, they're taking extra care with security checks and forensic work before reopening on November 14.
If you had plans to visit, you'll need to wait just a few more days!
