Just before Bihar heads to the polls on November 6 and 11, police have cracked down hard on illegal booze and drugs.
Over ₹75 crore worth of liquor and narcotics—including nearly 24 lakh liters of alcohol—have been seized in a bid to keep elections clean.

The crackdown led to more than 42,000 FIRs and almost 85,000 arrests—about a third for liquor offenses alone.
