Sunanda Pushkar was a businesswoman and wife of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. She was born June 27, 1962, in Jammu and Kashmir. She worked as Sales-manager in a Dubai based TECOM Investments. She co-owned the India based cricket franchise in IPL, Rendezvous Sports World. She died on January 17, 2014, in her room of the Leela Palace hotel in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
