    Thick and long eyelashes are something we all want to flaunt. But certain factors, such as medications, or overuse of mascara, can lead your lashes to fall out or become thin. However, certain home remedies using simple ingredients can help you achieve thick, gorgeous, and long eyelashes. Thick eyelashes accentuate your eyes besides protecting them from environmental pollutants. Check out the five home remedies.

    Castor oil

    Most of us are aware of the benefits of castor oil in boosting hair growth. Packed with ricinoleic and fatty acids, castor oil helps to prevent hair loss. Use it on your eyelashes to make them thicker, stronger, and longer. Dip a q-tip in some castor oil and apply it to your eyelashes. Keep it overnight and then wash it off in the morning.

    Coconut oil

    Rich in vitamins and minerals, coconut oil is a great option to make your eyelashes grow faster. The penetrative effect of coconut oil will prevent your lashes from thinning and falling off. It will also make them dense and strong. Apply coconut oil on your lashes using a q-tip. Wait for three-four hours before washing it off. Do this daily for the best results.

    Lemon peel mixed with olive oil

    Rich in vitamin A and C, lemon promotes faster hair growth and makes your eyelashes long and thick. According to a study, lemon oil protects the lashes from eyelash mites. Olive oil offers nourishment to your lashes besides stimulating growth. Soak lemon peels in olive oil overnight. Apply it to your eyelashes, leave it for a few hours and then wash it off.

    Vitamin E

    The antioxidant properties of vitamin E help to prevent hair loss by reducing oxidative damage. It also promotes blood circulation, strengthens weak lashes, and promotes new eyelash growth. The tocotrienol compounds in vitamin E increase hair density and help in elongating your lashes. Coat your lashes with vitamin E oil. Wait for a few hours and then rinse it off with cool water.

    Green tea

    Packed with essential antioxidants and a type of polyphenol known as epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), green tea is well-known for stimulating hair growth. It will make your lashes long, thick, and strong. Brew green tea leaves in a cup of hot water. Once it cools, apply it to your lower and upper lash lines and leave overnight. You can do it as often as you want.
