What Congress claimed
On Monday, a group of women Congress MPs wrote to Birla, alleging that the ruling party forced him to make "false, baseless, and defamatory" claims against them. In the letter, they stated that during the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address, the Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, was repeatedly denied the opportunity to speak for four days in a row, while a BJP MP was permitted to make "vulgar and obscene" remarks about former Prime Ministers.

No-confidence motion against Birla
They further alleged that when they met Birla to demand action against the BJP MP, he admitted a "grave mistake" but then stated he was awaiting the government's response, implying that he no longer acted independently in such issues. The Congress has since submitted the notice of no-confidence motion against Birla. According to ANI sources, the notice to remove Birla was given "because of the blatantly partisan manner in which he has been conducting the business of the Lok Sabha."
