Anthropic's Fable 5 draws 11% enterprise revenue, not user-friendly
Anthropic's Fable 5, launched in June 2026, isn't catching on with businesses like its predecessor.
A Ramp study of 70,000 companies found Fable 5 brings in just 11% of Anthropic's enterprise revenue.
The main reasons? It's pricey and not as user-friendly as many hoped.
Anthropic sued over token limits
With Fable 5 charging $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens, many businesses feel it's just too expensive.
Early complaints about hyper-sensitive safeguards made things worse, leading to a class action lawsuit filed June 15, which alleged that Anthropic had been misleading customers about token limits allowed through the company's Claude Max 5x and 20x plans.
Competitors like Moonshot and Z.ai are stepping up with cheaper, more practical AI options that fit what most companies actually need.
