AWS outage: Amazon's cloud service goes down for 15 hours

Earlier this week, Amazon Web Services (AWS) went down for about 15 hours, taking out nearly 150 apps and sites like Snapchat, Venmo, and Roblox.
The culprit? A DNS error at AWS's Virginia data center, which basically broke the system that helps your device find websites.

The outage hit 142 platforms, including big names like Slack, Zoom, and WhatsApp.
