Canon EOS R6 Mark III launched with 32.5MP sensor
Canon just dropped the EOS R6 Mark III, a mirrorless camera packing a sharp 32.5MP full-frame sensor and smarter autofocus that tracks faces and multiple subjects with ease.
Despite the higher resolution, you still get fast burst shooting—up to 12fps mechanically or a blazing 40fps electronically.
The camera can record 7K video
The R6 Mark III records 7K RAW video internally up to 30p, and can output 7K 60p RAW via HDMI to an external recorder, and does smooth slow-mo in 4K at up to 120fps, plus it supports Canon Log for easier color grading.
There are dual card slots (CFexpress Type B + UHS-II SD), a full-sized HDMI Type-A port, and a flip-out touchscreen for flexible shooting.
The body alone costs $2,799; lens kits go up to $4,049.
RF 45mm f/1.2 STM lens is also available
Canon also launched the RF 45mm f/1.2 STM lens ($470), which is ideal for low-light shots and creating dreamy backgrounds.
The R6 Mark III is built for creators who want pro-level video and photo quality without paying flagship prices—offering video features that are generally considered better than those of most mid-range Sony or Nikon rivals while staying more affordable than Canon's own high-end models.
If you're into hybrid shooting but don't want to break the bank, this one's worth considering.
