Claude Marketplace lets businesses spend AI budgets on partner apps
Anthropic just dropped the Claude Marketplace, a new platform where businesses can use their existing AI budgets to buy handy third-party apps powered by Claude.
The goal? Make life easier for companies by letting them bundle spending in one place, so they don't have to juggle a bunch of contracts or invoices.
Snowflake deal is worth $200 million
Six companies are on board from day one: Snowflake (data analysis), GitLab (software development), Harvey (legal research), Rogo (financial modeling), Replit (app building), and Lovable.
The standout deal is with Snowflake, worth $200 million, which means Claude could soon reach more than 12,000 of its customers.
Anthropic isn't taking a revenue cut at launch
For big companies already spending a lot on AI, the marketplace lets them easily shift extra budget to partner apps without worrying about overspending or complex paperwork.
It's similar to what AWS and Azure offer, but Anthropic isn't taking a revenue cut at launch, so more value stays with the users.
