Google Assistant is being replaced by Gemini in Android Auto
Technology
Google is rolling out its new AI assistant, Gemini, on Android Auto starting today.
If you've updated your phone, you'll soon see Gemini take over from Google Assistant in your car.
The update is global and supports 45 languages, so users will see the switch over the coming months.
What's cool about Gemini?
Gemini adds some handy upgrades: you can now add stops to Google Maps with your voice, edit and translate messages naturally, and even create playlists on Spotify or YouTube Music while driving.
It also pulls info like hotel addresses straight from Gmail for easier trip planning.
Plus, the new "Gemini Live" lets you chat more naturally with your car—whether you need help brainstorming or just have a quick question—all without losing focus on the road.
