Google Maps just got smarter (and a bit more fun)

Google Maps is rolling out some handy new features.
Now, you can leave reviews using nicknames and custom profile pics—so your real identity stays private.
Plus, the new "Know before you go" section uses AI to pull up tips like how to score a table or find secret menu items, making it easier to plan your next outing.

Other cool updates

EV drivers will soon be able to see predictions for charger availability based on real-time and past data—no more guessing if a charger will be free.
And the Explore tab in Google Maps is getting an upgrade too, highlighting popular spots with curated lists from trusted sources.
These updates are arriving this month on Android and iOS worldwide.
