Google Photos unveils fresh look, Android users await

Google Photos just dropped a big update, making it easier to see when and where your pics were taken with new "glanceable" date, time, and location details right above each photo (just remember to turn on location for this).
It's all about helping you find memories faster without extra taps.

TL;DR

What's new in the updated Google Photos?

The app now has a cleaner actions menu for quick access to things like Google Lens, Create, and Cast.
You'll also notice the theme matches your device settings—Light Mode included. Plus, there are new badges that let you play or pause live photos and switch photo categories right from the screen.
These features are live on iOS now and headed to Android soon.
Oh, and in May, Google Photos turned 10 with an AI editor, Ultra HDR effect, and easy QR sharing for albums—lots of reasons to check out what's new!
