Now access exam-related information, JEE Main results on Google Search

Google has partnered with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India to allow students to look up results of national exams and other related information directly on the Search page. Starting with the JEE Main 2018 exam, whose results were out yesterday, the feature will help students check their score on Google Search in an easier, quicker, and more reliable manner.

The improved Search experience also available for other central exams

Students can also find additional information like test dates, registration dates, important links, and other crucial information right within Google Search for other competitive exams like GATE, SSC CGL, and CAT, among others. "We are collaborating with Google for the smooth dissemination of results through an easy and secure platform," Rama Sharma, Senior Public Relations Officer, CBSE, said.

Quickly, securely and seamlessly locate exam results on smartphones

Google also claims to be working closely with CBSE to ensure that the feature is handled securely since it deals with student data. It will only be used for the purpose of showing results, the company assured. Further, the feature will remain live only for short durations around the time of exam announcements and results.

There will be many more exam-related improvements in Search: Google

"With over 260 million students enrolled in more than 1.5 million schools across India, we believe having reliable, seamless, and safe access to education-related information is crucial," said Shilpa Agrawal, Product Manager, Google Search.
