Google tests real-time AI voice chats in Search
Google just rolled out "Search Live" in AI Mode, letting you have real-time voice chats with its AI chatbot right inside the Google app.
For now, it's only available to Labs users in the US, but if you're in, all you need is the Google app on Android or iOS.
Tap the "Live" icon, ask your question out loud, and get an instant audio reply—powered by Google's Gemini AI.
Camera sharing is also on the way.
Google joins the race with voice-based AI assistants
One cool perk: your conversation doesn't have to stop if you switch apps. You can pick up right where you left off and even get transcripts for text responses.
This move puts Google alongside other tech giants like OpenAI and Anthropic who are making voice-based AI feel more natural.
Search Live is part of Google's bigger plan to make search more interactive and helpful for everyone.
