YouTube introduces shopping product stickers for Shorts
YouTube Shorts just made shopping in videos simpler with new product stickers.
Instead of the old Shopping button, these stickers pop up right on the video, making it way easier to spot and buy featured products.
The update is rolling out globally (except South Korea) and should reach more users soon.
How the new product stickers work
When a creator tags a product in their Short, the first item automatically gets its own sticker. Creators can move or resize it as they like, and if there are more products, viewers just tap a little arrow to see them all.
YouTube says this change has already boosted product clicks by over 40% compared to the old setup.
YouTube is looking to compete with TikTok, Instagram
With Shorts racking up over 200 billion daily views, YouTube wants to make shopping feel more natural—kind of like what you see on TikTok or Instagram.
It's all about giving creators better tools and helping viewers shop without missing a beat in their feed.
