Google's Pixel Watch 4 is the easiest smartwatch to repair

Technology

Google's Pixel Watch 4, just launched in October 2025, is making waves for being the easiest mainstream smartwatch to repair.
Instead of glue and tricky seals, you get two simple Torx screws under the band—so swapping out a battery or fixing the display is way less of a headache.

New side-charging cradle and silicone O-ring

Despite this open-up design, the Pixel Watch 4 still keeps its IP68 and 5ATM water resistance thanks to a silicone O-ring.
There's a new side-charging cradle (so you'll need new accessories), but it makes repairs even simpler.
Google's teamed up with iFixit to offer official replacement parts, and you won't void your one-year warranty if you fix it yourself.
Prices start at $349 (41mm Bluetooth), $399 (45mm Bluetooth), with LTE variants costing an extra $100.

Stellar 9/10 repairability score

iFixit gave it a stellar 9/10 repairability score—way ahead of Apple and Samsung watches that rely on adhesives and special tools.
Making this watch a solid pick if you care about longevity and right-to-repair.
