High-Risk warning issued for Google Chrome users
India's top cybersecurity agency, CERT-In, just flagged some serious security holes in Google Chrome for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
If you're running a version older than 137.0.7151.119 (or .120 on Windows/Mac), you could be at risk—hackers can steal your data or mess up your system just by getting you to visit a specially crafted web page.
Attackers can run code or crash your system
The main problems are bugs in Chrome's engine that let attackers run code or crash your browser behind the scenes.
These types of flaws are already being used by hackers, so it's not just a "maybe" risk—it's happening out there.
Update Chrome to stay safe
Don't wait: update Chrome right now to version 137.0.7151.119/.120 (Windows/Mac) or 137.0.7151.119 (Linux).
It only takes a minute—just open Chrome settings and check for updates under "Help > About Google Chrome."
Stay safe!
