Husk launches AI-powered platform to bring clean energy to millions

Technology

Husk just unveiled an AI-driven energy platform aimed at making electricity more accessible across the Global South.
Announced at the Africa Investment Forum, this move is part of Husk's $400 million fundraising push to roll out solar and battery storage systems in South and Southeast Asia, plus Sub-Saharan Africa—hoping to power up millions of homes and businesses by 2030.

How it helps: smarter, wider energy access

With over $125 million already raised and 2.2 million people in India and Nigeria benefiting so far, Husk's new tech uses advanced AI to deliver affordable power through minigrids and standalone setups.
The goal? Smarter distribution for communities that need it most—while supporting big clean energy targets like Africa's Mission 300 and India's 500GW non-fossil capacity by 2030.
