ICMR's NAKSHATRA accelerates genomic data analysis

ICMR recently launched NAKSHATRA, a powerful computing cluster built to quickly analyze genomic data—something that became a huge bottleneck during COVID-19.
Dr. Naveen Kumar shared that what used to take months can now be done in days, making it much easier to catch and respond to health threats early.

NAKSHATRA will boost AI-driven drug discovery

Part of India's health infrastructure mission, NAKSHATRA packs serious tech muscle: 12 compute nodes, 700 cores, and a petabyte of storage for next-gen sequencing and bioinformatics.
It'll help boost AI-driven drug discovery and keep India better prepared for future pandemics, starting with five ICMR institutes leading the way.
