Indian scientists innovate heat-based cancer treatment
A team of Indian researchers has developed tiny "nano-cups" that make a type of light-based cancer therapy (photothermal therapy) more effective and less invasive.
These bowl-shaped particles turn light into heat, helping destroy cancer cells without surgery or harsh side effects.
TL;DR
Promising results in mice
In mouse trials, the nano-cups shrank tumors and boosted survival rates.
Thanks to a special coating, they're safe for injection and work efficiently without being toxic.
The process to make them is simpler than older methods, and scientists think these nano-cups could also help with things like biosensing in the future.
