ISS crew, including Shubhanshu Shukla, researches cancer in space

Shubhanshu Shukla, an Indian astronaut on the ISS, is part of the Axiom-4 mission crew, which includes a team led by NASA's Peggy Whitson exploring how cancer cells behave and respond to drugs in microgravity.
Their project, "Cancer in LEO-3," focuses on tough-to-treat breast cancer and could reveal new ways to fight cancer back on Earth.

Research on muscle loss also being studied

This research could help scientists find better targets for cancer therapy and improve treatments here at home.
Shukla's also pitching in with experiments on muscle loss, which are key for keeping astronauts healthy and learning about muscle diseases.
