Meta's new tool helps creators protect their Reels from copycats
Meta just dropped a new content protection tool for Facebook, designed to help creators keep their original Reels safe from being reposted without permission.
If someone tries to use your Reel without approval, you'll get a heads-up and can either block it or add an attribution link—so your work gets the credit it deserves.
It's all about giving creators more control and cutting down on content theft.
How it works and who gets it
Right now, the tool is available on mobile for creators in the Content Monetization program who meet Meta's standards, with access also rolling out to Rights Manager users.
You'll get detailed info like match percentages and view counts, plus options to manage flagged content—think allow lists or releasing claims if needed.
Desktop support is in testing, so stay tuned if you prefer working off your laptop.
