Microsoft integrates xAI's Grok into Copilot for faster reasoning
Technology
Microsoft has teamed up with xAI to bring Grok AI models into Copilot, making the platform smarter and faster.
Users can now switch to Grok for speedier reasoning, text generation, and handling bigger chunks of information.
Grok expands across Microsoft 365 apps
Grok 4.1 Fast landed for US-based builders in Copilot Studio on February 19, 2026, helping more people tap into Grok's features.
The collaboration also brought free Grok-powered add-ins to PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for Microsoft 365 subscribers this summer, while Outlook was available to paid X and SuperGrok subscribers.
Plus, Grok connectors rolled out for Outlook Mail and Calendar, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive apps by May 2026, complete with a handy Grok Bot to boost workplace automation.
