Microsoft introduces Agent 365, a security tool for AI management
Microsoft has announced Agent 365 and is making it available in preview, with general availability scheduled for May 1, 2026, a tool designed to help companies keep their AI agents in check.
It's rolling out as part of the Microsoft 365 E7 bundle for $99 per user per month, and the big focus is on making AI management more secure and organized.
Central dashboard for all your AI agents
Agent 365 gives companies a central spot to register all their AI agents, track how they're being used, and keep tabs on performance with easy dashboards.
Each agent gets its own ID for tighter access control, plus there are built-in security tools like anomaly detection and data loss prevention.
It also plugs right into other Microsoft apps you already know.
Pricing and availability
Agent 365 lands in the Microsoft 365 E7 bundle (which also includes Copilot and Defender) starting May 1, 2026.
If you're curious about security features, there's an early preview of runtime threat protection coming in April.
Better oversight for AI use in business
If your company uses AI for things like automating IT tasks or managing employee data, Agent 365 promises better oversight with audit trails and compliance checks, so teams can innovate without worrying about things slipping through the cracks.
